Dominique explained to me that there is a group in the area that makes fresh-pressed apple juice. The juice is placed unfiltered in one-liter bottles that are then pasteurized to kill any pesky microbes. For the sake of his family and the guests at his bed-and-breakfast, Dominique purchases anywhere from 50 liters of juice to several hundred liters.
By the way, the juice was delicious.
