pudding

When a typical American thinks of pudding, this is what comes to mind:

But when a typical Brit thinks of pudding, this is what comes to mind:




According to Dictionary.com, one British definition of pudding is merely this: "the dessert course in a meal." So there we have it: to a Brit, a pudding is pretty much anything. By that reckoning, here's a dog making pudding:

That dog making pudding made me laugh. I remember the verse in the "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" about bringing the figgy pudding and never had any idea what they were singing about.

By the way, the best pudding ever is banana cream, without or without vanilla wafers. Just sayin'.

Despite being an inveterate chocoholic, I love banana-cream pudding. I don't think it beats a chocolate mousse, but it's a close second.
