Interesting. I'd like to find the study to look over it and also see if results were reproducible in others since the initial study.

DeleteNot the original study, but probably a good place to start for more info: Mindfulness—the unconventional research of psychologist Ellen Langer. Interestingly, the tweet gets the year wrong--it was 1981, not 1979. Weird thing to mess up, to be honest.
