"Three Billboards" is now next on my queue. Recently, I've seen some interesting essays about how theological the movie is. Would you say "7 Psychopaths" is worth a look? I've heard mixed things.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541500.post-46091533625755522352018-02-21T04:58:56.806+09:002018-02-21T04:58:56.806+09:00Kevin,

I enjoyed the character development and interactions; he went from a pretty serious fellow to even cracking the occasional smile.
I loved "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," (and plan on watching it again) which made me check out "In Bruges" & "7 Psychopaths" - all directed by Martin McDonagh, who likes to use many of the same actors in his movies, and it works.Franknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541500.post-77553811139552841502018-02-20T16:55:49.573+09:002018-02-20T16:55:49.573+09:00Frank,

It's not a rip-roaring, slapstick comedy; it works on a quieter level. That said, I appreciated its depth and sentiment. As for "The Florida Project"—I suspect your enjoyment may be proportional to your tolerance for naughty kids with trashy moms. If Jesus were around today, these are the folks he'd prefer to hang with, so maybe it's apropos that the saintly role of Bobby is played by the guy who played Jesus in Scorsese's "The Last Temptation of Christ."

At some point, I'll need to catch "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," but today is the day that "Thor: Ragnarok" comes out on video, so I'm pouncing on that first.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541500.post-87600125295325568072018-02-20T09:42:23.847+09:002018-02-20T09:42:23.847+09:00Kevin,

I recently watched "The Hunt for the Wilderpeople" (enjoyed it) and am now watching "The Station Agent" which I'm truly enjoying so far. I started watching "The Florida Project" a while ago but stopped after the first 5 minutes but after reading your review, it's going back in the queue for another chance.
- True Detective; loved season 1, and contrary to critics and viewers mostly negative reviews, I thought season 2 was also very good. It's a real mind bender and eye opener which is why season two was a let down for many even though it's very good in its own "evil," eye-opening way. I'm looking forward to your views on it and its unique music score.John from Daejeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08431973044799010218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541500.post-29923603303587995722018-02-19T10:13:40.816+09:002018-02-19T10:13:40.816+09:00Yeah, it's vacation, so I'm bingeing. I also recently got Season 1 of "True Detective," so that ought to be interesting.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541500.post-55237881198904646442018-02-19T10:09:02.597+09:002018-02-19T10:09:02.597+09:00You sure have been watching a lot of films lately....You sure have been watching a lot of films lately.Charleshttp://www.liminality.orgnoreply@blogger.com
