Gregory Hines is dead of cancer at the ripe young age of 57. I'm just sitting here, shaking my head, feeling very, very blue, and still not quite believing what I'm reading.
If there's a heaven, man, I hope you're hoofin' it through the clouds, puttin' the lie to that old chestnut, "Lower than the angels." Not you, Gregory. No way.
Hats off to a true master.
