To Whoever Loses the 2004 Presidential Election:
Be a gentleman. Accept the outcome. Call off your lawyers. Restore faith in the integrity of the electoral process. Give a civil-- even congenial-- concession speech. Avoid the small-mindedness that usually characterizes partisan politics.
You won't be sitting in the Oval Office, but all the same: go forth, kick ass, do what you can to get the economy back in shape, work to repair our image abroad, and help keep the people safe.
Hope that's not too much to ask.
