You've seen Liam (it's short for "William," in case you didn't know) as Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn in "The Phantom Menace." The following pic says it all: Neeson is obviously thinking, "What the fuck am I doing in this movie?" Ewan MacGregor is too ashamed even to face the camera directly.
Here's Neeson in this year's "Batman Begins," again doing the knightly thing, teaching a reluctant Christian Bale the ways of the Force by attempting to julienne his head.
And here he is in "Kingdom of Heaven," with a hairy Legolas in the background:
I tried my best to find a picture of Neeson in his first major film role-- that of Sir Gawain in the 1981 cult hit "Excalibur," but this is about as close as I got:
It's a Shatnerian moment, to be sure.
