Imagine that.
According to a recent news article, menstruation is now effectively optional. In reality, it's been optional for years for many women who have chosen to take contraceptives to block periods. A new contraceptive, Seasonale, was launched in 2003 and has enjoyed immense popularity because it reduces frequency of menstruation to only four times a year (hence the brand name). Last year, sales of Seasonale enjoyed a 62% increase.
I guess a woman who takes feminine Viagra and Seasonale is pretty much unstoppable: guaranteed arousal and no blood-soaked aftermath.
Ladies, meine Schlange and I salute you.

I think there is something inherently wrong with intentionally and chemically preventing menstruation. There's plenty of time for that... it's called menopause.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's a sign I'm hitting middle age when each month (when it decides to show up) I am reminded, "I ain't too old... yet."
Wouldn't surprise me if sometime, somewhere down the line those women end up with all sorts of ovarian, fallopian, and uterine disorders.
By the same token, there are some folks who find shitting unpleasant... unfathomable, but true. I would feel just as strongly about taking a pill to intentionally constipate one's self as I feel strongly against taking a pill to prevent menses.
Oh, this is fucked up. You do realise that with this seasonal shit, PMS is going to be multiplied by three.
ReplyDeleteImagine living in a house with several women when they all synched up.
Interesting premise for a horror film actually.
I admit, the first thing I thought about when I read this post was if the seasonal discharge is three times the normal volume. Cuz then you really WOULD need 7 or 8 femhyg products.
ReplyDeleteA pill that cures PMS? What's that sound that I hear? It's billions of married men around the world letting out a sigh of relief.
