Karlschlossesandwichen

Charles of the shockingly disturbing and obscenely graphic Liminality sent me an email with the following pic, which shows one of the many uses of Nutella:

You may recall that I praised Nutella here. The presence of the peanut butter in the photo is interesting, suggesting the possibility of layering peanut butter atop Nutella, thereby creating a sort of... of... meta-Nutella. Such a substance, once introduced into the universe, might prove unstoppable.

From "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan":

DR. MCCOY: Good Lord, do we think we're intelligent enough to... Suppose... What if this were used where life already exists?

MR. SPOCK: It would destroy such life in favor of its new matrix.

DR. MCCOY: Its 'new matrix'? Do you have any idea what you're saying?

MR. SPOCK: I was not attempting to evaluate its moral implications, Doctor. As a matter of cosmic history, it has always been easier to destroy than to create.

God help us all. And may the Force be with you.

  1. I want to emphasize--for those who may not look too closely at the photo--that the Nutella and the (chunky) peanut butter are separated by the double layer of banana slices. It is highly inadvisable to allow the Nutella and peanut butter to merge before they enter the oral cavity (where the taste explosion may be contained).

I just don't want to be responsible for a rash of meta-Nutella deaths.

  2. The banana layer is pure genius:) Perhaps apple slices could work, too, for a more subtle effect.

Go ya one better... butter each side and grill it like a closed grilled cheese sandwich. Imagine the damage Elvis could have done had Nutella been available way back then.
