My buddy Matt is leaving Korea for China, Tibet, and India (did you also mention Nepal, Matt?), and very likely won't be coming back to Korea except for one last six-month stint. As he's leaving early next week, I invited him along on my hike.
Matt used to be a mountaineering guide in the Rockies, so Namsan is nothing to him. But he got to see the horror that is yours truly from up close last night as I heaved and puffed my way to the top.
All the lights on the mountain were working, too, except one final segment up the third set of stairs.
Happy trails, Matt!
