Fishies?
I have a possible theory:
Last year I saw out of my office window a big hawk-predator-like bird (vulture?) that landed on an adjacent rooftop. It held in its talons a dead crab - probably scavenged from a local seafood restaurant dumpster. After the birdie emptied the crabbie shell, it left, leaving the carcass on the rooftop. I bet it enjoyed the view. Chirpin.
Birdies?
