I tried to contact Oranckay at the end of last year, hoping to be able to see him in Seoul, but he responded that for the time being he'll be teaching Korean in the International Institute of California (http://www.iic.edu/), which, despite its rather inclusive-looking name, has academic and certificate programs only in Korean studies. And now it seems that the blog is down, and his main site (http://oranckay.net/) which used to have some material has nothing but the main page. I feel like saying that we'll miss him, but he should be alright, supposing that people nowadays exist even without much online activity.
