My father apparently stubbed one of his toes hard enough to fracture it. Ouch. I've stubbed my own toes numerous times and always find the experience more annoying than truly painful. The real pain lasts only a second or so, after which I just become pissed off.
But according to my brother David, this isn't what happened to Dad:
...[Dad] said that right after he stubbed the toe, it was sticking way out to the side.
Uh... I hope the toe heals up quickly, Dad.
