Charles in a nutshell

My buddy Charles was interviewed for a site called Expat Interviews. If you've ever wanted to know more about the dude who runs the excellent Liminality, this exchange provides you with a decent glimpse of the man, the myth, the muthafucka.

(I appreciate the shout-out, by the way, Charles.)

UPDATE: I see that Stafford was interviewed for the same site! And what's this? Stafford is actually Aussie by birth? What the hell? This is like finding out my mother is actually a man!

  1. Interesting interview. I'd hate giving one myself because I'm actually very boring...

  2. Uh, hi...this isn't really a commnet specific to the last post...but what the hell happened to the Metropolitician? Not exactly someone I pictured vanishing into the mists of cyberspace. Anyone?

  3. How the heck did you find out about that? It was just posted yesterday! I was going to put up a little blurb about it at Liminality today, and lo and behold I've been beaten to the punch by the Big Ho!

The interview with Stafford, by the way, is the main reason why I agreed to do the interview. I looked through the site, thought "this doesn't look so bad," and then I saw Stafford's interview. That's when I decided to do it.

(Upon further thought, I'm guessing that you got some click-throughs from the link and traced those back to the site using your logs. I pay zero attention to my logs, so it always amazes me when people pick up on these things.)

Confidential to Dr. Demento: Don't sell yourself short. Boring is just a state of mind.

  4. Yes, we like to think of that as a little "historical accident". Two Kiwis in Aussie at the end of the 1970s (along with the rest of New Zealand's population at the time) - go figure. Doesn't stop me from getting the best of both worlds, dual citizenship, Australian drivers licence... but I have lived the majority of my life in NZ and thus consider myself a New Zealander. (When it's convenient.)

Ex-pat interviews is over a year old, I think I was one of the first to be interviewed for the Korea section and the woman who runs it is really nice. I see it has grown enormously since then, and is a really good resource for would be teachers in Korea.

Is that where you get your beautiful eyes Kevin?
