Holy fucking shit. That link is for all people who appreciate eloquent prose used in the service of evil. I had a mad cackle, despite my being more sympathetic to Obama than Malcolm obviously is.
...for he IS the Kwisatz Haderach!
My own Obama tribute-- which y'all likely missed because I put it up very early Sunday morning-- is here. (Sunday is usually a low-traffic day for me. Those of you with lives are often doing something that keeps you away from your computers.)

Actually, I haven't really got anything against Obama; I think he must be a bit freaked out by the effect he's had as well. I might even end up voting for him in the fall. (And you you should see him ride a shai-hulud!)
ReplyDeleteBut personality cults flat-out give me the willies, and that's exactly what's in that video. I'd imagine that Koreans would have reason to be particularly sensitive to that sort of thing.
So I'd say my remarks were not made in the service of evil, but in manning the ramparts against it.
Koreans love personality cults! They're a bit like the Russians in that sense: they love being led, preferably by a strong leader. True, there's a lot of ambivalence toward leaders here, but ultimately, Koreans prefer strong, decisive leaders to the more easygoing ones.

I think my joke fell flat. Sorry about that.
