My buddy Mike gave me Gary Taubes's Why We Get Fat for my birthday. I just finished the book and would like to pass along its information to you, although perhaps not uncritically. Much of the content was fascinating, and despite some chapters filled with semi-technical jargon, Taubes takes care to rely on accessible analogies and metaphors to illustrate his central argument.
So come back soon: perhaps tonight, I'll have a writeup of Taubes's Meisterwerk.
