The right-wingnut again: Sam Harris has written one of the most thoughtful and truly balanced articles on guns that has been spawned by the Newport massacre.
I read it and liked it. But what did you think of Harris's interpretation of the 2nd Amendment? Harris seems to come down (lightly) on the side of those who view the amendment's language as pertaining specifically to militias, not to private ownership.
AT the very least we can agree that Harris's call for a rational discussion is timely.
