So I saw the trailer for the remake of "Evil Dead." It seems that the new filmmakers have kept some of the swooping-demon camera work but have sucked the movie dry of any campy humor. And among the young cast members I saw no heir to the great Bruce Campbell.
Sam Raimi must be spinning in his grave.

He isn't "dead" yet, but he is still working with them. He will do his own remake of "Poltergeist" this year as well as wrapping up his STARZ series, "Spartacus." I'm pretty sure Bruce will probably have a small part in Sam's version of Tobe's classic film.
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot, his take on Oz hits the big screen in just a few days. It looks rather promising. Well, it did until I noticed that Zach Braff's voice is in it.
