Towering comedic icon Jonathan Winters, another fixture from my childhood, has died at age 87—just like Margaret Thatcher and my Great Aunt Gertrude. I graduated from high school in 1987. Coincidence?
One of my favorite Winters moments comes from 1986, on David Letterman's show. Winters is on with Dave... and then Robin Williams shows up and it all goes to hell.
