Alas, I've been rejected again by PNC, this time for both the reduced loan and for the credit card. I'm going to go visit OneMain Financial later today, but I don't have high hopes: I'm sure OneMain uses a similar method for calculating debt-to-income ratio. The fact of the matter is that I'm just not earning enough to cover a loan, which is one of the reasons why I'm looking to change jobs. What frustrates me is the paradox that you have to have money to obtain a loan. Does this strike anyone else as stupid?
Anyway, assuming OneMain doesn't come through for me, my only remaining option is to work illegally while in Seoul, otherwise I may not have the funds to get to DC from Seattle.
