This poor blog is normally laced with images—cartoons, Photoshop jobs, and of course, pictures of food and occasionally of yours truly. While I've got an old cell phone that can take pictures, it doesn't seem capable of emailing those pictures to my moblog address, thus making it impossible for me to upload and display them. The only solution I can think of is to go visit Yongsan's electronics stores again and buy myself a cheap-but-decent camera that can connect, via USB, to my laptop. This is easier said than done: one of the sad ironies of peninsular culture and economics is that electronics products in Korea, one of the most wired countries in the world, are far more expensive than they are in America.
In any case, I'll be camera-hunting tomorrow—just in time for dinner with the good Doctor Jeff Hodges on Friday, and for Sperwer's Mr. Seoul contest, which Sperwer tells me is on Saturday, not Sunday. (Saturday, for what it's worth, is also my mother's birthday.) And if Tom consents to hit Dos Tacos with me on Sunday for Cinco de Mayo, when we celebrate the 1862 ass-kicking that 4000 shabby Mexican troops gave 8000 elite and well-armed French troops, I'll be ready with a camera for that as well.
Pictures pending.
