I'm back from a trip to the CubeSmart self-storage facility in nearby Warrenton, Virginia. While at the CS office, I filled out and signed all the necessary paperwork to secure a lease, then paid the admin fee, disk-lock price, and first month's rent. In return, I received a copy of the lease, a receipt for my initial payment, and an email describing what happens next (basically: load the space up!).
So another phase of my imminent departure comes to completion. Now, it's a matter of doing a hell of a lot of boxing-up and transporting. That'll occupy me for the next few weeks. I've got a little bit more than a month to go before I'm done with my job.
Incredible how the time passes.
