Per the Kurt Vonnegut reference that serves as this post's title, I'm quite occupied at the moment with several writing projects—about 60 pages due next week, plus one or more 900-word essays at about the same time. So, like Bilbo feeling a bit thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread, I may not be able to blog at my usual logorrheic pace until after January 18th or so, when the demands will, I hope, die down. So my apologies to my five loyal readers, but things will pick up in a week or two, c'est promis.
