Sitting right under my nose this entire time is another mountain. The above photo is what I see right before I cross the street over to my own little studio-apartment neighborhood. The awesome, massive apartment buildings of Wi City Complex 5 stand behind me and to either side; when I'm walking home, this is the view I get when I'm almost at the end of the walk. And there it was, this nameless mountain, just hiding in plain sight, a mere rifle shot away from where I live. Incredible. If I can find the walking path to it, and then find a path to its summit, I'll be a very happy camper.
Got my Alien Registration Card this morning. Quick and painless, except for when the guy asked me whether I'd paid, last time, for the card. That brought me up short: what, they didn't have proof of transaction? I hadn't been given a receipt three weeks ago, and I knew that that might be problematic. Luckily, when I told the guy that I'd paid, he simply grunted and nodded and handed me my new card. A rare moment of trust (a trust that wouldn't have been necessary had the record-keeping been better).
