plus on remue la merde...

Scott Adams's take on the Trumpian audio scandal: here.

Styx, meanwhile, says he's unsurprised.

The audio of Trump saying "grab them [i.e., women] by the pussy" to the aptly named Access Hollywood reporter Billy Bush has surfaced right as WikiLeaks has released emails containing transcripts (or at least partial transcripts) of some of Hillary Clinton's speeches to Goldman Sachs and other big-money firms. The Clinton camp has been loath to release these transcripts for fear of the picture they paint of Clinton, but from what I understand, this most recent release of information isn't the most damning: there's more to come. Supposedly, someone (possibly the undercover journo James O'Keefe, who exposed ACORN) has audio of Clinton saying disparaging things about black citizens. If such audio exists and eventually gets out, it could very well torch Clinton's campaign.

Whatever the case, it's October, and the shitstorm has arrived. We're all going to feel very, very dirty by November 8. If Hillary's team chooses to press Trump on his nasty comments about what it means to be rich, powerful, and able to seize women by the crotch at any moment, Trump will trundle out the long history of Bill Clinton's behavior (and Hillary's aggressively woman-destroying defense of her husband) while in the White House, thereby eroding whatever feminist credentials Hillary supposedly has. If she counters by saying (as she has in the past) that Bill's victims' accusations lack substance, Trump will counter with the same regarding this audio. In the meantime, he'll be seating Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broaddrick in the front row of the next two debates. By the time this is over, the entire mainland United States will be buried under a mountain of semen-stained blue dresses and scandalously grabbed pussies.

My Twitter feed is awash with people on the left and the right expressing their disgust at Trump. I'm seeing calls by prominent Republicans (Governor Dennis Daugaard, Senator John Thune, et al.) for Trump to step down and for Mike Pence, his running mate, to become the main GOP presidential nominee. Were I to base my impressions solely on my Twitter feed, I'd say that Trump's goose is cooked, and this audio was the final straw. GOPers seem to be abandoning Trump in droves. But Scott Adams, linked above, has his own spin:

12. Clinton supporters hated Trump before this latest outrage. Trump supporters already assumed he was like this. Independents probably assumed it too. Before you make assumptions about how this changes the election, see if anyone you know changes their vote because of it. All I have seen so far is people laughing about it.

13. My prediction of a 98% chance of Trump winning stays the same. Clinton just took the fight to Trump’s home field. None of this was a case of clever strategy or persuasion on Trump’s part. But if the new battleground is spousal fidelity, you have to like Trump’s chances.

This is a fair point: if you're already predisposed to hating Trump, this latest news changes nothing. If you're already emotionally committed to Trump, this again changes nothing. The only question is the extent to which such news affects the undecideds, who may be the key to who wins this election.

  1. The Democratic Party of Polymorphous Perversity and 58 Genders is shocked, shocked I tell you, by a few bawdy comments made between two adult men in a completely private exchange. And I'm King Motherfucking Sejong.

Ample evidence of Krooked Killary's treason against the American people is right there on the Twitter feed of Wikileaks, just a few screen taps away. If they still select her as the country's next president, then the great H. L. Mencken will have been proven right once again: "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."

  2. Meanwhile, Krooked Killary discusses her desire to see her some black cock.

Another classic example of the double standards of modern-day feminism. They don't want equal rights: They want to be able to have their cake and eat it, too. Thus, men should always behave like perfect gentlemen in public for fear of being viciously shamed, yet women can be as slutty as they want in public and it's shame on you if you dare to call them out on it.
