Climate change itself is already in the process of definitively rebutting climate alarmists who think human use of fossil fuels is causing ultimately catastrophic global warming. That is because natural climate cycles have already turned from warming to cooling, global temperatures have already been declining for more than 10 years, and global temperatures will continue to decline for another two decades or more.
Of much more interest than this article is the link the article provides to text from the conference it refers to.
The alarmists, of course, have their say in the comments section. Meanwhile, the US looks to be in for a hell of a winter. Here in Seoul, it's warm enough that I went out for an early-afternoon walk today in just short sleeves. Maybe Freeman Dyson was on to something when he suggested that, if there's warming, it isn't global but patchy.
My favorite part of the article is where the author suggests that a conference sponsored by the Heartland Institute would not be political. The attack on the U.N. seemed very John Birch as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but the UN deserves it.
