So I just discovered Simone Giertz (Swedish surname: pronounce it "yetch"), the self-styled "queen of shitty robots." She's hilarious and full of life, which is why it was gut-wrenching to discover one of her lively videos featuring a poorly engineered soup-serving robot...


...only to see one of her most recent videos, in which she says she has a mass in her brain:


This broke my heart.

But Simone seems like a fighter, and she says the tumor is benign, so the main battle for her will be how she copes with the effects of brain surgery. I wish her nothing but the best.
