It's not perfect, and it's obviously done on a shoestring, but for people who don't have enough Nathan Fillion in their lives, this is a welcome shot in the arm. My main complaint is that this fan film is too brief.
Background on the film.
What is "Uncharted"?
You're welcome.
I'll get to it after I finish re-watching Nathan's run on "Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place" with some guy named Ryan Reynolds. I needed something to calm me back down after watching Netflix's "Sacred Games." Who knew a detective show about political cults...er...religions could make "True Detective" and "24" look serene in comparison? Blown away, in more than once sense, is an understatement. Watch it! You won't be disappointed. Greatly impressed and upset at the same time, but not even close to being disappointed.
ReplyDeleteAnother great TV find is ‘Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind.’ I really enjoyed most of his TV and Film work, but that now pales in comparison to the work he did to help others at a heavy cost to the time he spent with his family. He was a true humanitarian battling his own anxieties throughout his life, but watching his comic-genius, rapid-fire mind disintegrating was more than he could endure. I'm not a big fan of going out his way, but I definitely understand why he chose to do it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, "Sacred Games" was so good that I'm now reading a nearly 1,000 page Indian novel as I can't endure the two-year wait for the next two seasons. As much as I liked "24," I have yet to read any of the 13 or more "24: Declassified" Jack Bauer novels.
