This is a good day to remember that there are things, and people, worth fighting and dying for. A happy and mindful July Fourth to my fellow Americans, a tip of the hat to all fellow citizens of what we call "the free world," and warm thoughts to all those not in the free world, but who yearn to breathe free all the same. Above all, remember that—a bit like your teeth—if you ignore your freedom, it'll gradually go away, and you won't even notice.
