Growing up in the U.S., I was taught that there are seven continents, but I learned upon moving to South Korea that there are only six according to my students. And as of just recently, some people are being taught that there are actually eight continents.
As for the geniuses in the video, they really point out the failure of the U.S. educational system. Well, all except for one. Maybe he was home schooled.
