My buddy JW is meeting me in the lobby of my building tomorrow at 10 a.m. so we can do the 3.5- to 4-hour walk down to Bundang along the Tan Creek. JW's son might or might not be coming along; I vaguely recall that the boy normally has some sort of math clinic for the gifted that he attends on Saturdays. Can he skip out of it? We'll see.
Anyway, whether it's two or three of us tomorrow, the plan is to walk down to Bundang, eat lunch in that area (tons of restaurants close to Jeongja Station), then train separately back to our respective residences. Jeongja Station is a transfer point where you can choose to board either the Bundang Line or the New Bundang Line (Shin Bundang-seon); I have to take New Bundang back; JW will have to take the regular Bundang Line back.
17.5 kilometers isn't that long of a walk; we'll be chugging along fairly quickly, I think, and the weather isn't forecast to be all that cold: about 44°F (6.7°C), which means I won't be needing more than one layer of protection under my coat. And with tons of restrooms along the route, the walk to Bundang won't require any of us to hold anything in, so to speak. Wish us luck!
Sounds familiar...
