I only just got out of bed, so I think it's obvious: the InYang walk ends here. I'm sad, but I'm also relieved: I can use the two extra days to recuperate.
Thanks, gentlemen. As for biking: I need to log some biking hours and condition my fat rump for long-distance jaunts. (For me, 30 km would count as "long distance.") I'm not ready for that kind of abuse yet, but it's something I can build up to.
Yeah, if you haven't been biking regularly, it's not nearly as easy as it sounds! I remember a while back I got on a bike again for the first time in a very long time, and I could not believe how much of an effort it was.
I had a similar experience in 2017 when I rented a bike to ride along part of the Four Rivers trail, almost all the way to the Paldang Dam and back. That was my first time riding a bike in over 20 years, and that was also, in the end, the longest distance I had ever ridden in a single go (about 50-some km). My ass bones screamed for a week, and I walked like an old cowboy as I healed.

Made it at least halfway. Around 100k steps? A valiant attempt. Those feet will live to walk another day. Could bike the rest of the way?
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your last post, I think you're doing the right thing. There will be other opportunities.
