If you actually believe that Biden would handle COVID better than @realDonaldTrump please listen to this: pic.twitter.com/w69ZJDAyFh

I wrote earlier about trying to choose between scorn and pity when thinking about Joe Biden. I think I leaned toward scorn in that blog post, but now... I have to wonder. If Creepy Uncle Joe were to face off against Donald Trump in a debate, Trump would mop the floor with Biden, even if the Orange Man did get facts wrong, lie, and otherwise flub whatever he was trying to say. Trump can reliably string sentences together. Based on the above video, it's hard to say that Biden can do the same. More than that: Biden is actually hard to watch.
On a more cynical note: Biden might gain more sympathy in a debate during which Trump is pummeling him relentlessly. Trump might come off as a bully, a small-minded mocker of the feeble (despite the fact that America deserves better than to have a mentally feeble president at the helm), a muscleman whomping on a starving wretch afflicted with polio. Trump might actually have to pull his punches so as to appear respectful toward the elder statesman—this despite Biden's stated desire to take Trump out back and give him a thrashing.*

*The video in that sentence's link shows Biden speaking in 2016. Compare that video to the above-tweeted video of Biden speaking now. Notice any difference? If the answer is no, then you must be a Democrat.
