Uber lives!

I found myself inside an Uber taxi Monday night.  I had seen a different Uber taxi just a few days before, and the sight had given me a jolt:  I had thought that Uber—the ride-share service, at least—had been booted out of Korea.  Well, this was a taxi, not a private ride-share, so I guess Uber had gone the adapt-or-die route and morphed into a taxi service.  That's one way to keep Korean cabbies from screaming about foreign intrusion, I guess.

The other lesson I learned was that I need to read more widely.  The Uber-related news had probably appeared somewhere, and I'd missed it.  So I guess Uber hasn't left the peninsula.

Yet.
