if it's a stroke, I'm probably already too late

I'm hitting the hospital tomorrow morning.  Right now, my thinking is:  if it's a stroke, I'm already too late to do much.  Also:  it's probably not a TlA because symptoms of a TIA are supposed to disappear in about an hour, 24 hours max.  I passed both limits hours ago, and I'm still symptomatic.  So, possibilities:  could be a real ischemic stroke (i.e., with dead and dying brain tissue), or I could be afflicted with my very own brain tumor, only now manifesting.  After watching Mom's ordeal over the course of 9 months, I resolved I'd just let any tumor run its course.  All I ask for is palliative treatment.

My friend Neil texted to inquire about other possibilities, most of them neck-related.  I'm pretty sure that whatever the problem is has nothing to do with the neck, but I thank Neil for asking.  We'll know more tomorrow.  Assuming I survive the night.

    I would get in a cab and head to 서울삼성병원 in 일원동, about a ten minute ride from your place. Best hospital in the country. Better to err on the side of caution, just in case.

    Thanks, guys. I'm heading out in the morning. Not sensing any changes for the worse at the moment (been drifting in and out of sleep). Just got an email from Bill Keezer saying that some TIAs can indeed last for weeks, although from my research, that violates the definition of a TIA. One way or another, I'll know more soon. End result is probably gonna be a radical change in diet.

    Samsung sounds positively awful. Can't say the care my mom received at Severance back in 2017 was any better though. Keep us posted as to what happens. And remember the three Rs if it really is/was a stroke: rest, recovery, and rehabilitation!
