ululate!

Along with Sidney Poitier, there've been a few celebrity deaths of late. Comedian Bob Saget just died; he was only 65. He died while in the middle of a comedy tour ("I Don't Do Negative"), and I gather the authorities are still trying to figure out what happened, although they've ruled out drugs and foul play.

I never found Saget that funny when he was in sitcoms ("Full House") or hosting "America's Funniest Home Videos," but his standup comedy was another matter: Saget would allow his unbridled self to come to the fore, and while he was never as raunchy as, say Robin Williams, he was his own brand of profane. Anyway, he seemed like a decent fellow; I don't recall that he was ever mired in any scandals, so RIP.

  1. RIP. Was always a dream of America's Funniest Home Videos. 65 is far too young. And RIP to Sidney Poitier, definitely one of the greats.
