Ah, one of those "where were you?" moments. I saw the landing from a crappy motel room in Gallup, New Mexico. I was 13 and en route to Memphis, Tennessee, in the back seat of my parent's 1964 Rambler. The other event from that trip that I recall was an accident in Arkansas involving a tractor-trailer carrying cattle. We had to drive around dead cows scattered all over I-40.
