If I'm not mistaken, my pre-order of "Top Gun: Maverick" finally became available on home video today, so I'll be excited to watch what is, by all accounts, a true summer hit. Expect a review sometime soon.
Well, my laptop is long gone, and I've got a pretty big screen with my new iMac desktop, so I'm hoping for at least a tiny taste of that big-screen experience.
We watched the first Top Gun the day before we went to see Maverick, and we were surprised at how corny it was. I would have to say that I like the new entry better as well.
And a laptop screen is never going to be a substitute for seeing it in the cinema with the surround sound and all that. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Anyway, I see that you've already watched it, so I'll be looking forward to your review.

It's kind of a crime not to watch this one on the big screen, to be honest. I'll be interested to hear how it translates to a smaller screen, though.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Maverick. It is a bit of fine (mindless) entertainment. In fact, I liked it better than the first one.

Charles,
ReplyDeleteWas that your first time seeing the 1980s "Top Gun"?
