Hard to believe it's been 21 years since that fateful September day when America's collective life changed. Some people learned lessons that day; many others learned nothing. Fortunately, we haven't seen terror on that scale since then, but it's wise to remain vigilant. We'll never reach a point where people might wish each other a "happy 9/11," but at the very least, I can wish my fellow Yanks a mindful 9/11.
