more scones

My Korean coworker ambushed me with another set of scones today—an early parting gift before I leave for Jeju in eight days(!). I had hoped to behave myself, but I mentally said Fuck it and chowed down. Guess I'll just walk more tonight.

I told my coworker that his scones were good enough to share with the rest of the office, not just with me. Revealingly, he said that he hasn't perfected his scones yet, so he's sharing them only with me. "Ah, so I'm your lab rat, then," I joked. He laughed sheepishly. I broke out the clotted cream and jam still sitting in our office fridge and scarfed down the scones with gusto.
