Obviously, part of the fascination is that these are some very good-looking women. (And Sydney's forehead scar just makes her look cuter.) But both of these videos are an exuberant celebration of skill—what the Greeks would have called aretê, or excellence. I can't even dream of moving like these ladies (and that one guy). But it's fun to watch, not to mention impressive and even humbling. If I tried these moves, my knees would explode.

ReplyDeleteInteresting...they are right now. I thought the problem was on your end. I'm too ignorant to even imagine how the videos showed up in the wrong post, but it appears to have corrected itself.
