Actress Octavia Spencer (whom I like) claims Los Angeles is more racist than her Alabama hometown (which doesn't surprise me a bit: for all its wokeness, Hollywood is one of America's most racist institutions):
Meanwhile, woke actress Mindy Kaling's attempt at making a "Scooby Do" spinoff called "Velma"—featuring a race-swapped, South Asian Velma, a black replacement for Shaggy, and no Scooby at all—has flopped massively. As Josiah points out, if everyone's insisting that race isn't important, then why race-swap Velma in the first place? Or why not create a totally different series instead of once again shitting on an established property?
As Joaquin Phoenix's Joker said: you get what you fucking deserve.
