The cargo-weave belt I'm currently wearing has only nine holes, and with my Newcastling, I'm pretty much down to that ninth hole. Cinching the belt at the ninth hole is still a bit difficult, but once it's obvious that I need to transition to a tenth hole, I'm going to have to switch belts. We've been here before of course, so none of this is exciting... ho-hum. It's not the losing of weight that's the battle: it's keeping the weight off. I have a big leather belt that's currently part of my Gregory backpack's hip-belt assembly, so when the time comes, I might just switch that belt out for the one I'm using now. Because it's a leather belt, I can use my belt-hole puncher (I only just now realized you can call it both a puncher and a punch) to add holes as necessary. Once I go back to using a leather belt, I'll have to redo how I calculate waist size. But that's not a problem I have to worry about right now.
Since you've been on the Newcastle diet in the past and are now going back to it... can we call it "Oldcastling"?
