final fajitas

I ate the rest of my leftovers tonight. Here's my version of pretty plating:

the last of the beef, and almost the last of the shrimp

I ate almost everything that was left over from the meals I'd served at the office. The only things left, now, are some cheese, some jalapeƱos, a bit of chimichurri, and some sour cream. Gone are the olives, the guacamole, the beef, the shrimp, the peppers, and the tortillas. After the Tuesday meal was over, I got my second rare "very good" in a row from my boss, who is stingy with his praise (and not very eloquent, either—he normally just grunts, "S'good" after eating one of my dishes). His previous "very good" came this past Friday (chili day).

There's also that Costco bag of Doritos, which no one really seemed to want last week. I confess I had myself a bowl of corn chips Monday night, but I felt guilty about it, and the chips gave me no sense of satisfaction. I'm going to leave the bag at work and let others eat the thing, but office workers at my company don't seem to be the type to go for junk food. I suspect the Doritos will be quietly thrown away. I won't be offended when that happens; I have half a mind to throw them away myself.

And that's all the office-related cooking I'll be doing this month; we'll see what's on tap next month, assuming I can work around our CEO.
