I dipped into the noisome morass that is Disney+ just so I could watch Seasons 1 and 2 of "The Mandalorian." (Season 3 is, from all reports, a shit-show.) Since Apple TV offers a chance to sign onto Paramount+ for free for seven days, I might take up that offer just to be able to buy "Picard," Season 3, which is being hailed by everybody as the "Picard" that "Picard" should have been from the beginning. I have zero interest in the first two seasons of this show, which were apparently a nightmare in terms of storytelling, wokeness, and general lack of creativity (even with the inimitable John de Lancie back as Q in Season 2). Season 3, however, piques my interest. It's not quite over yet: we have 8 out of 10 episodes out so far. Once the series is done (Season 3 is presumably the final season of "Picard"), I'll do the one-week-free-promo thing, see if I can buy the episodes for the season (which I couldn't do for "The Mandalorian"—fucking Disney), and enjoy binge-watching the season. I might also look into season 1 of "Strange New Worlds," but I've heard very mixed reviews about that series.
