I'll be meeting my ex-student Nathan and his family tonight at 6:30 in front of the huge Gangnam Style sculpture in front of the COEX Center in Samsung-dong, up the street from where I work. Getting there by subway will be weird because Samsung Station is the Green Line, but I'm next to the Orange Line, and going from Orange to Green means zigzagging in a strange way. Meanwhile, if I go by taxi, COEX is almost a straight shot up the street, so taking a taxi, even at dinnertime during the evening rush, is the better option. I'll have my box of Toll House cookies with me for the family. They took some time deciding where they wanted to go eat; I offered several suggestions, but in the end, they found a place on their own and have apparently made reservations, so I guess they'll be guiding me to the restaurant, whichever one it is. There might be some photos later on, so watch out for those. Maybe. I don't know how squirrely they are about privacy.
