Ever made a startling culinary discovery? I'd been buying those Ghirardelli chocolate chips while I was making almond-flour cookies, but on Thursday, when I went shopping for chips to make regular chocolate-chip cookies for the family I'll be meeting Friday evening, I bought some sort of no-name brand chocolate chips. When I sampled some chips after getting home, I was bowled over: these were fuckin' good. They were very distinctly milk chocolate, but they were smooth and still quite chocolatey despite not being as concentrated as dark chocolate. I almost think this could be my new addiction. Now help me find the brand name. Is it So Simple, So Tasty? Topping and Baking? Dark Compound Chips? Something more subtle that I'm not seeing? I've taken the following photo, as I usually do in such cases, and filed it in a special folder on my phone called "Products I Like." I'll definitely be buying these again in the future. I mean, seriously—holy shit.
Those are the same chips that I use in my recipes. No idea what the brand name is, though.
