Tim Pool on the increasingly sad state of San Francisco as Hilton buggers out:
It was while I was watching a Triggernometry video that I learned that REI—outdoor-gear purveyor extraordinaire—is leaving Portland. Why? Crime. Of course. REI, as a company, is about as green and granola as you can get (albeit with high prices, but that's on-brand, too—cf. Apple products and Starbucks, beloved of capitalism-hating liberals who hypocritically pay top dollar for product), and until it became a total shithole, Portland was green and granola, too. Now, the woke ideology, with all of its attendant crime, has metastasized so thoroughly throughout the Portland area that even a place like REI is finally calling it quits. This is what happens when you claim to hate capitalism and vote against capitalism time and again. Sure, your votes match your convictions, but your convictions are rooted in stupidity. And if you vote for stupidity, don't be surprised when stupidity is what you get.
Of course, the problem is we sane folk get fucked by the stupidity of the woke mob too. I have no idea what it will take for these idiots to realize their ideology is destroying the country. More and more, it seems like that is their goal.
