Mitch McConnell has another episode

Above, Doug says he's not an ageist, so he doesn't believe in age limits for politicians. Instead, he believes in cognitive competence: if you're mentally robust and coherent, then you can keep doing your job. If you're not—and Mitch McConnell obviously belongs in this category—then you should step down gracefully. But as the Sith know only too well, All who gain power are afraid to lose it. Hence the mental incompetents who hold on: the McConnells, the Bidens, the Feinsteins, the Fettermans, etc. It's all quite sad.

Below, Styx advocates for an unprecedented level of medical openness, allowing the public to see all diagnostic records, etc., so we know how our leaders are doing. I think this is highly unrealistic and will never happen (as much as I'd like it to): politicians have moved so far away from any idea of openness that it'd take a bloody revolution to restore such forthrightness. But let's be real: imagine Hillary casually letting the public know what's really wrong with her head. Or Nancy Pelosi (remember her "Sunday morning" episode?). Can you see either of these crones ever letting the public know the truth about their cognitive abilities? Me, neither.
