I finished writing up the CEO's PowerPoint presentation at around 5 this morning. Got myself a few hours' sleep; now I have to go to the office and bang out the lecture notes that accompany the PPT. Life at my job often vacillates between slow, steady, relatively stress-free work and sudden paroxysms of activity when something comes up out of the blue—like the unforeseen need to have a PPT for a lecture one didn't know one would be doing this week. How anyone can live in such a fog of unawareness is utterly beyond me.
